01 - 2 cups chilled club soda or sparkling water
02 - 2 tablespoons simple syrup

05 - 2 drops natural red or pink food coloring (optional)

06 - 2 large scoops vanilla ice cream (about 1 cup total)

# Directions:

01 - Combine simple syrup, vanilla extract, almond extract if using, and food coloring if desired in a small pitcher or measuring cup. Stir thoroughly.
02 - Pour chilled club soda or sparkling water into the syrup mixture and gently stir to combine.
03 - Scoop vanilla ice cream evenly into two tall glasses.
04 - Slowly pour the prepared cream soda over the ice cream in each glass.
