Golden tortillas filled with Brie, sautéed apples, honey, and cinnamon for a sweet-savory start.
# What You'll Need:
→ Produce
01 - 2 medium Honeycrisp or Gala apples, cored and thinly sliced
02 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
→ Dairy
03 - 5.3 oz Brie cheese, rind removed and sliced
04 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
→ Pantry
05 - 4 small 6-inch flour tortillas
06 - 2 tablespoons honey
07 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
08 - Pinch of salt
→ Garnish
09 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)
10 - Freshly ground black pepper (optional)
# Directions:
01 - Toss the sliced apples with lemon juice and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add apple slices, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Sauté for 4 to 5 minutes until apples soften and caramelize slightly. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
03 - Wipe the skillet clean and melt the remaining tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Heat the tortillas one at a time until lightly golden and crisp, about 1 minute per side.
04 - With the last tortilla still warm in the skillet, lay slices of Brie evenly over its surface and allow to soften for approximately 30 seconds.
05 - Layer the sautéed apples over the melted Brie, drizzle with honey, and garnish with chopped chives and freshly ground black pepper if desired.
06 - Fold tortillas in half and serve immediately while warm and crisp.
