Watermelon Mint Infused Drink (Printable Version)

A cool, fruity mix of watermelon and mint, ideal for a light and refreshing chilled beverage.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fruit and Herbs

01 - 3 cups seedless watermelon, cubed
02 - 15 fresh mint leaves, plus extra for garnish

→ Liquid and Ice

03 - 8.5 cups cold filtered water
04 - 1 cup ice cubes

# Directions:

01 - Place the watermelon cubes and mint leaves into a large pitcher.
02 - Gently muddle the mint and watermelon with a wooden spoon to release their flavors, being careful not to crush them completely.
03 - Add the cold filtered water and stir well to combine all ingredients.
04 - Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the watermelon and mint flavors to fully infuse into the water.
05 - Add ice cubes just before serving. Pour into glasses, garnish with fresh mint leaves, and serve chilled.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • It tastes like summer in a glass without any added sugar sneaking in.
  • You can make it in the time it takes to check your phone, then just let the fridge do the work.
  • It impresses guests with minimal effort because it looks as good as it tastes.
02 -
  • Don't over-muddle the mint or it turns bitter and tastes more like medicine than refreshment—I learned this the hard way after crushing a entire bunch into oblivion.
  • Watermelon varieties matter; red-fleshed ones taste sweeter than yellow or orange ones, so choose accordingly depending on how sweet you want your water.
03 -
  • Chill your glasses in the freezer for 15 minutes before serving so the drink stays cold longer and feels extra special.
  • Save watermelon scraps for smoothies or freeze them in ice cube trays to use later as edible ice cubes that won't water down your drink.
