Vanilla Bean Frappuccino Oats (Printable Version)

Coffee-infused vanilla bean oats chilled overnight for a creamy and energizing breakfast.

# What You'll Need:

→ Oats Base

01 - 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
02 - 1 cup unsweetened milk, dairy or plant-based
03 - 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
04 - 2 tablespoons chia seeds
05 - 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
06 - 1 vanilla bean with seeds scraped, or 1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
07 - Pinch of salt

→ Coffee Layer

08 - 1/2 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee, cooled
09 - 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey

→ Toppings

10 - 1/4 cup whipped cream, dairy or coconut
11 - 1 tablespoon mini dark chocolate chips or cocoa nibs, optional
12 - 2 teaspoons vanilla granola, optional

# Directions:

01 - In a medium bowl, combine oats, milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla bean seeds or extract, and salt. Stir thoroughly until fully incorporated.
02 - In a small bowl or cup, mix the cooled brewed espresso or coffee with 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey until well combined.
03 - Divide half the oat mixture evenly between two 12-fluid ounce jars.
04 - Drizzle half of the sweetened coffee mixture over the oats in both jars.
05 - Layer the remaining oat mixture on top, then finish with the remaining coffee mixture.
06 - Seal the jars and refrigerate overnight for at least 8 hours to allow the oats to hydrate and flavors to meld.
07 - In the morning, top each jar with whipped cream, chocolate chips or cocoa nibs, and vanilla granola if desired. Serve cold.

# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • It tastes like dessert for breakfast but actually keeps you full until lunch because of all that fiber and protein.
  • Everything happens the night before, so your mornings become genuinely stress-free instead of just pretending to be.
  • You can make two jars at once and have backup breakfast waiting in the fridge for those days when time disappears.
02 -
  • Let your coffee cool completely before mixing it into anything dairy-based, or you'll end up with weird grainy texture that no amount of stirring will fix, which I learned the hard way on a Tuesday.
  • The chia seeds are non-negotiable if you want that proper overnight oat consistency, because without them the mixture stays a little too thin and runny by morning.
03 -
  • Scraping fresh vanilla bean seeds into this is worth the two minutes it takes because the visual is stunning and the flavor depth is noticeably different than extract, plus the black specks make it look intentional.
  • Chill your jars in the freezer for 10 minutes before serving if you want that authentic frappuccino coldness, which transforms the entire experience into something you'd actually pay for.
