02 - Flip two bread slices so the unbuttered side faces up. Place one slice of cheese on each, followed by half the turkey, two tablespoons cranberry sauce, and optional additions as desired. Add a second slice of cheese over the filling.
03 - Cover with remaining bread slices, ensuring the buttered side is facing outward for crisping.
04 - Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat until hot.
05 - Transfer sandwiches to the skillet. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, pressing gently, until the bread turns golden brown and the cheese is fully melted.
06 - Remove sandwiches from the skillet. Allow to rest for 1 minute, then slice in half and serve warm.
