# Additional Tips::

01 -
  • It tastes far more complex and special than the five minutes it takes to make.
  • You can make it with or without alcohol, so it works for literally anyone showing up at your door.
  • Those leftover bottles of wine and prosecco finally have a graceful exit instead of sitting in your fridge judging you.
02 -
  • Muddle the raspberries gently—if you crush them too aggressively, they release too much sediment and become bitter instead of juicy.
  • If you're making this ahead, muddle the fruit and chill it, but don't add the sparkling components until just before serving or you'll lose the precious fizz.
03 -
  • Make your simple syrup at home by heating equal parts sugar and water until the sugar dissolves, then cool it completely—it keeps in the fridge for weeks and costs almost nothing.
  • The key to avoiding a watery drink is using plenty of ice and serving it immediately; every minute that passes, the ice melts and dilutes everything.
