Polar Bear Paw Cookies (Printable Version)

10 - 24 large white marshmallows
11 - 72 mini chocolate chips
12 - 48 chocolate melts or chocolate disks

# Directions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
02 - Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl until evenly mixed.
03 - Using an electric mixer, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
04 - Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Stir in milk thoroughly.
05 - Scoop tablespoon-sized dough balls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Flatten each slightly with the palm.
06 - Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges turn lightly golden. Remove and cool cookies on wire racks.
07 - Melt white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl with 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
08 - Spread a thin layer of melted white chocolate on each cookie. Position a large marshmallow near the bottom edge as the paw pad.
09 - Place three mini chocolate chips above each marshmallow to form toes. Set two chocolate melts or disks on each side for side paw pads.
10 - Allow cookies to rest at room temperature or refrigerate briefly until decorations firm.
