# Directions:

02 - In a large bowl, mix diced pears, cranberries, sugar, orange juice, orange zest, vanilla extract, and cornstarch until evenly coated.
03 - Transfer the fruit mixture to the prepared dish, spreading evenly. Bake for 20 minutes until fruit softens and releases juices. Remove from oven.
04 - While fruit bakes, beat egg whites with cream of tartar and salt using an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form.
05 - Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating on high speed until stiff, glossy peaks develop.
06 - Spoon or pipe meringue over baked fruit, creating decorative peaks resembling a snowy landscape.
